They say things happen when you least expects it. I certainly wasn't expecting the hiring manager to call when I was having my oats while reading 10 Ways to Make Your Resume Shine, especially when I just had a phone conversation earlier in the morning with the HR and she told me they were still looking at 1 or 2 candidate.
After more than 200 job applications and 12 versions of resume (OMG 12 again) I finally landed myself a genuine job offer. I almost got one job offer previously but last minute they told me the headcount was cut. Finito! It felt like I was fired even before I was hired. It depressed me even when it reassured me of my marketability.
Paul Coelho said,"When you want something badly, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.". I don't know about the universe but I do know friends and family that have been there constantly supporting and motivating me. They were there to offer me suggestions, intro potential contacts to me, pray for me in multiple countries, treat me goodies, cook for me and lift my spirits. From deep down, I wanna say thank you.
It's very important to stay positive in the face of adversity and keep telling yourself 'Good things is going to happen to you today." even though some days you feel like crap. For those waiting for something too, I wanna share the below.
Don't loose hope.
